SECURE&TIP: SAFE STORAGE

This entry is also available in:

Hello.

Protecting information doesn’t just depend on who accesses it. It also depends on where we store it.

Using authorized corporate spaces helps keep information secure, accessible, and under control.

That is why it must always be stored in authorized systems and repositories to ensure its protection, availability, and traceability.

Storing information outside of authorized systems and repositories can make it harder to protect and control, since it is more difficult to know who is accessing it, how it is being used, and where it is located.

This increases the risk of:

  • unauthorized access,
  • loss of information,
  • leaks of sensitive information.

Always use the systems and repositories authorized by the organization to store the information you work with.

This will help ensure that it remains secure, available, and properly managed throughout its entire lifecycle.

Remember: Information must always be stored in the designated locations, whether in digital or physical format.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If, despite complying with all these measures, you encounter situations that do not conform to the level of security required or established in internal policies, do not hesitate to inform your line manager, the Security Manager, security personnel and/or the IT department, depending on the type of suspicion.

If it happens to you on a personal level, report it directly to the police authorities, so that they can give you appropriate advice and conduct an investigation.
