Because, although we do not share or forward it, our visualization has been added to the record of visits and diffusion.
Unfortunately, not only are adults and minors exposed to this content on a personal level, but the repercussions can also cause problems at a professional or educational level. Especially for victims who have been involved in such viral content or for users who decide to imitate what they have seen.
Therefore, whether you or your family members and relatives are victims, or you simply consider that there is content on the internet that is ethically inappropriate or unfair, the Spanish Agency for Data Protection makes a Priority Channel available to all citizens who are users of new technologies. . Thus, based on any complaint (even anonymous), the Agency may demand the removal of content and even the blocking of the page or profile.
In what cases can I report through this channel?
When the rights and freedoms of those affected are clearly violated, whether they are Spanish citizens or reside in Spain. For this reason, both the affected person and anyone who has knowledge of the content can make use of this channel. However, we must take into account what does or does not exceed the limits of freedom of expression. Since the personal or domestic activity of citizens on social networks is excluded from the application of data protection regulations.
For this reason, this channel will only be effective in exceptional cases in which the privacy of the person concerned is being seriously jeopardized. Especially if the dissemination has become uncontrollable (viral). In the rest of the cases, we remind you that you can file a complaint with the National Police or the Civil Guard.
In which cases can I not use this channel?
If you are not a Spanish citizen or do not reside in Spain. Nor if the broadcasts have been carried out through instant messaging services (for example, WhatsApp or Telegram), or through email. But if we denounce through the AEPD channel, it will in any case initiate a sanctioning procedure against whoever disseminates or replicates this content using said means.

Always report these facts to the police in the country of residence.
