Surely some of you are still on vacation or are about to pack your bags and take off. So we would like to remind you again and briefly, our recommendations for your trip:

1. BEWARE OF RESERVATION SCAMS: During the holiday season, fake booking pages and profiles are created, with extremely attractive discounts. We recommend you to compare prices on other alternative websites, always use known and trusted platforms or book with travel agencies.

2. PRE AND POST BACKUPS: It is important that you make backup copies of the contents of your cell phone, especially the photo gallery, both before and after the trip. For possible theft or loss of devices that we may suffer.

3. DO NOT POST ON SOCIAL NETWORKS DURING THE TRIP: This is complicated to accomplish, because we want to show the world how happy we are, the beautiful places we visited or the delicious dishes we are going to have for dinner. But we remember that publishing our vacations minute by minute can provoke thefts and occupations in our home. So the ideal is to wait until we are back, to show our social networks the trip we have made.

4. BEWARE OF FREE WIFIS: Many of them are fake and created by cybercriminals to get hold of the information we consult while connected (i.e. web pages, applications, incoming/outgoing messages, etc.). Before connecting, ask the establishment’s staff if they really have a WIFI for customer use and which of the detected ones it is.

5. TEMPORARY APPLICATIONS AND CONTACTS: Upon returning from the trip, it is important to cancel profiles and delete applications that we have had to use during the trip and that have been of temporary use. This will prevent these applications from continuing to access information from our devices or receiving unnecessary commercial communications. We will do the same with contact persons with whom we no longer need to communicate, blocking the corresponding telephone number.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have the slightest suspicion or certainty of having suffered a fraud, scam, theft or loss that affects the security of your information or even that of your company, report it to the police authorities.
