One of the main objectives of cybersecurity in the professional field is to achieve more protected workplaces.
Incidents in the work environment can be of different types: from leaving confidential information visible to third parties, loss of a USB, leaving the computer unlocked and unattended, to unauthorized access by a person outside the company or entity and the theft of a device, etc.
Unfortunately, both in the office and service environment, as well as in production activities, it is necessary to connect computers for operational, management and/or measurement reasons. Therefore, any of these incidents can seriously affect the continuity of the entire business.
How can you protect yourself?
& Always lock computers or other devices (by pressing the Windows key and the L key ).
& Do not leave information (passwords, personal data, documents, designs, etc.) visible to third parties.
& Store your devices in safe places (drawers, lockable cabinets, etc.).
& Do not allow third parties to access the facilities or your devices, if it is a person outside the company or entity.
& Do not connect any USB devices that you have found or that are personal. It could transmit viruses that damage systems.
& Remember that you cannot take information out of the company on mobile devices or on paper without authorization from the Chief Security Officer (CISO).
