Passwords are one of the elements that make up our digital identity.
They allow us to access:
- applications,
- services and
- corporate information
and act as a first line of defense against unauthorized access.
That is why it is important to use them safely.
A weak password, one that is reused, or one that is shared with others can compromise our digital identity.
If an attacker obtains our credentials, they could impersonate us by using our digital identity to access corporate resources with our account and permissions.
This can affect both our operations and the organization’s security.
Use strong, unique passwords for each service, and don’t share them with others.
Whenever possible, use the tools provided by the organization to manage and protect your credentials.
Remember: Passwords protect your digital identity.

If, despite complying with all these measures, you encounter situations that do not conform to the level of security required or established in internal policies, do not hesitate to inform your line manager, the Security Manager, security personnel and/or the IT department, depending on the type of suspicion.
If it happens to you on a personal level, report it directly to the police authorities, so that they can give you appropriate advice and conduct an investigation.
